Teens Orthodontics

Orthodontic treatment has come a long way since the days of bulky, heavy, metal wires and brackets.

Many teens now actively choose to have orthodontic treatment to correct problems with tooth alignment, un-attractive profiles and mouth breathing. This is mainly due to the modern options available to straighten their teeth allowing them to maintain their all important "image".

Although we still use braces, they are much finer and funkier than their bulky predecessors. In some cases there is also an option of utilising removable appliances, lingual invisible braces or the latest 'clear braces' known as Invisalign®.

The treatment type and time can vary depending on the severity of the problem. On average, the treatment time is usually one to three years, a small investment of time to provide a good foundation for a future with a healthy smile.
