Children Orthodontics

ABC Orthodontics follows the philosophy of early intervention and non-extraction therapies. With early intervention, known as Orthopaedics, the growth of a child's jaw is guided so to create enough space for the adult teeth to emerge. This pre-treatment can reduce the need for extraction of otherwise perfect, healthy adult teeth.

Orthodontics has become a much more accepted form of treatment to correct mal-aligned teeth. In the past, many were hesitant to undertake orthodontics due to the use of cumbersome metal braces and awkward appliances. Many referred to orthodontics as wearing train tracks, having a metal mouth or even a tin grin, all very nasty and hurtful comments.

Now, with the use of finer brace wires and less bulky brackets, orthodontics is a much more accepted treatment. These advancements have also offered reduced treatment times with improved, long-lasting results. In addition to this, patients, including children are now caring for their appearance and health with impressive commitment and a detailed approach.
